5/1/03 - In John Carpenter's sequel to his 1987 hit Escape from New York, Kurt Russell plays a down and out developer who's successes have turned his community into a concrete battleground. Crime, unemployment, riot's and mayhem are a daily routine in this once idyllic community. One part Orwellian nightmare and one part generic action flick, this film tells the story of a community's transformation from "Village" to crime scene all in the name of economic development. The film’s socio-political commentary is interesting enough for viewers to forget the otherwise generic plot. Due in theatres Winter 2003.

4/8/03 - In news media's competitve battle to feature veteran military expert analysts to document "live" the war in Iraq, FOXXNews scored a coup in retaining the services of one of the United States' best known military officers. Captain Kangaroo was hired by the FOXXNews department to provided real-time analysis in the critical waning weeks of the war. "We are thrilled that Captain Kangaroo is aboard to document history with us ", said senior FOXX bureau chief Walt Cannon. "The Captain is an American icon and will be very well received by the American public". The Captain, heavily recruited by all of the major networks, chose FOXX because of their conservative reporting and their offer to embed Mr. Green Jeans with the 101st Airborne.

Open Season
3/22/02 It just seems, for historical reasons, we may want to leave one or two deer for viewing, of course for safety reasons we could keep the pair high fenced in a zoo-like display at city park, or better yet at the Lakeway Historical Society site. Residents and visitors alike could then observe "up close" one of the amenities that originally drew people to this community.
