In 1995, a former UT classmate and architecture school graduate, Michael Langley and I formed Terra Verde, LLC. This was a design-build firm that specialiized in high-end custom residential projects. All of these homes were of either adobe or rammed earth construction and several featured rainwater harvesting. These projects were "green"-built homes that were designed with both the immediate and global environment in mind: They used materials that were recycled, renewable, of low VOC or no VOC content (VOC: Volatile Organic Compounds), and/or efficient use of resources. My work continues to involve both custom and specualtive residential design as well as tenant finish-out and light commercial designs.
