  • Calling all Cavalier 12th man ! Need to all be in full force wearing black, arriving early at Westlake. Okan to travel over to Westlake and cheer us on as we go for our 2nd Bi-District Championship, living up to our motto "Tradition Never Graduates".

  • Fantastic win for our program last Friday night. Gives us our 3rd consecutive District Championship. Tremendous accomplishment for our program. We're not done yet though !

  • PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

  • TOUCHDOWN CLUB LUNCHEON Friday, November 17th at Mulligans. Come hear the following young men come and talk along with Coach Dicus as he reviews the Hendrickson game and gives inside info on beating Hays. See you there 12:00-1:00. Young men that will be joining Coach Dicus are Ryan Adams & John Michael Paul.

  • Sub Varsity News:
  • Great win for our Freshmen team as they won their last game of the year. Freshmen White outright won (7-0) a District Championship and the Black (5-2) team were District Co-Champions.
  • Our JV kids showed great heart and that Cavalier pride as they fought hard and almost pulled off the victory vs Hendrickson. Great improvement all year men. Very proud of this group.

  • Notes for This Week:
  • Freshmen will turn in all gear, clean lockers, met w/ coaches. Week of Nov. 13-17.
  • During the week we'll be talking to the basletball guys to make sure we have everything set for them.
  • JV will remain as we prepare for our 1st playoff opponent.
  • If we win our 1st round game, it will mean we'll be playing over Thanksgiving and practicing as well. There is no school on that Weds., THurs. or Fri. of that week, but we will have practice in the mornings each day of that week. Very important that we have all our young men here as we prepare for our next game Friday Nov. 24th.

  • Thanks go out to our parents who are decorating our locker rooms, and the parents who help with our Varsity team meal ! To Pam McCaskill & Michelle Simmons for coordinating the JV/V sack lunches - we thank you very much. I also want to thank Lisa Schappel for running the concession stand ! Thanks go out to Rick Goodale and his wife Linda for taking care of the helmet tunnel/flags each week. Thanks to Kyle Chapman for putting the wooden Cavalier signs of our seniors up each Thurs. night. Thanks to Jim Tolles for the Spotlight that shines to bright each home game on the LT Tower. Have you seen it ? It's awesome. Thank Jim the next time you see him.
  • Academic Report
THE GRADE REPORT IS AS FOLLOWS: 2006 - 1st nine weeks ineligibility report:
  • Freshmen 2 (2 were repeats)
  • Junior varsity 6 (6 were repeats)
  • Varsity 3 (3 were repeats)

  • 11 total - 93% of our kids have passed! Great job!
Parents: The next eligibility comes into play this week (Friday) so hopefully we can get these 11 ineligible athletes eligible & keep the other 93% eligible, reaching our goal of 100% eligibility! Tutoring is before school for everyone or during their lunchtime!

  • Parents - Very Important
All of our V/JV men received a Peak Performance DVD from DR. Mustin. We tested it out in the meeting room & afterwards everyone raised their hands in saying they couldn't believe it worked. Kepp after them to use it PLEASE. It's a mental training program that will help them to relax & sleep better. In a game it will help them get back to the resting level that is needed between each play. I know it works. Parents try it out yourselves.
