![]() Lake Travis Cycling Club's "The Humbler" Hill Climb Route 8 "The Humbler" Hill Climb (Road Bike) - Where legends are born and spirits are broken. Climb 129 feet in 3/10 of a mile. The steepest climb on South Lake Travis. Climb starts on Wild Cherry off of Lohman's Spur. If you're wanting to work anaerobic leg strength, this is the workout. Do two sets of two climbs and be ready to be sore the next day. 8-22% grade. Start is on Wild Cherry 20 feet past Lookout Drive. Start is located by red line and the word Humbler spray painted in red.. Slight down hill to get clipped and then hard right to base of climb on Peak Lookout Drive. About 1/2 way up the road curves right and all hell breaks loose as the greade peaks at 22%. Finish is yellow surveyors flag (on 3 foot pole) just past 3rd mailbox on left just at the top of the climb (also spray painted red line). Google Route GMap & Elevation: go here.
