Rent Our Condo

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How well equipped is your condo/kitchen ?
Our condo is very well equipped so that your stay will be very enjoyable. All appliances and furnishings are updated and in good working order. We do not want to "rough it" when we are there, so we have equipped it with that in mind. There is plenty of storage space with a closet and dresser in each bedroom and a large closet in the den.

2. Are there any condiments or food in the condo ?
Food and condiments should be brought with you during your stay. We ask that you take all of your food supplies with you when you leave.

3. What amenities are available at the complex ?
The complex offers some unique features. First it has the only indoor full-size pool in Mt. Crested Butte. The pool is located in the great area or main lobby commons, it is used by the Town of Crested Butte to conduct their summer swim program. The facility also offers a very large hot tub and dry sauna area adjacent to the pool, and a complete game room in the basement. The laundary is located in the basement. The complex is also unique in it's offering of a well-stocked general store and complete ski/snoboard rental shop on-site. You can take care of your rentals needs just downstairs from your room. The rental store also leases space slopeside, so you have convenient slopeside storage for your ski equipment. No need to carry your gear back and forth to the condo !

4. How far is your condo from the ski slopes and the town proper ?
We are in the town of Mt. Crested Butte about 800 yards from the slopes. Our complex is the first stop (to pick up and to deliver) on the upper condo shuttle route. The shuttle stops every fifteen minutes just downstairs and outside the door on the northwest corner of the building. There are only two stops on the upper condo route and we are the first. Travel time from the condo to the base of the lift is 2-5 minutes. Mt. Crested Butte is about 1 1/2 miles (driving) up above the old town of Crested Butte. The same shuttle service that delivers you from the condo to the slopes also runs from the slopeside stop to three stops in town. The service runs thru the night and will allow you to go to town and eat and shop. After arriving at the condo there is no need to use your vehicle again.

5. What cleaning is expected of us prior to checkout ?
While the housekeeper will complete the cleaning after you check out, we ask that you do the following: strip the sheets off the beds you have used; put all of the trash into twisttied garbage bag(s), and empty the refrigerator and cabinets of your items. In order to prepare the condo for the next guest, you will be responsible for a $85 housekeeping fee due at the desk when you check-out.

6. What about smoking in the condo ?
You'll see by the small sign on the front door, smoking is not permitted in the condo. We prefer to keep our unit smokeless (except for the fireplace). Any violation of this policy will result in the loss of your security deposit.

7. Where do we store our ski's snowboards and equipment. ?
Most of the local rental shops have slopeside storage (including the store located in the building), but there are ski hanging racks just inside both door entrances. We suggest leaving your ski's, snowboards, poles and boot plastic outers in the storage units at the slope and bring back just your boot liners for drying by the fireplace.

3. Do we need to use parking permits ?
Yes. Parking is restricted to owners and guests. The parking pass you will be issued when you check in needs to be placed on your dashboard. Vehicles not displaying a parking pass will be towed at the owners expense.

We'd love to share the fun, winter or summer, of our little spot in paradise. Feel free to contact us about providing accomodations for your stay in Crested Butte.
