The purpose of this message to you is to provide a testimonial on the services provided to my wife and me by Austin Quality Remodeling during the construction of our new home at 15787 Booth Circle, Volente, Texas 78641.
In March, 2004, our general contractor became seriously ill and could not complete the construction of our new home which had already been under construction since April, 2003. As a result, my wife, Priscilla, who was also the architect and project manager for the house, was forced to become the general contractor. Being from Dallas and with no experience as a general contractor, we were desperate to find someone to help us with this enormous responsibility who was not only competent, but fair and trustworthy as well. Priscilla received several recommendations from building materials suppliers in the area and proceeded to interview all of them. What made her decide on Austin Quality Remodeling was the proprietor, Kenny Ray. Priscilla was not only impressed with his seeming competence, but with his sincere desire to help; he knew we were in a terrible situation, one that an unscrupulous person could exploit. He offered to do whatever she decided she needed. In that regard she felt that she could handle the interior finish, but she felt totally unqualified to finish the exterior work, which included trenches for piping and conduit, laying concrete for an extremely long and contoured driveway, reroofing of an existing detached garage, building a large and somewhat complex wooden stairway from the back patio to the ground, building a retaining wall beside a long part of the driveway, etc. In addition, Priscilla needed some recommendations on reputable plumbers, heating and air conditioning installers, electricians, etc. Kenny eagerly provided the names of those subcontractors that he regularly used on his projects. All of the work done by Austin Quality Remodeling was done competently and at a very fair price; furthermore, an unexpected, but pleasant surprise was Kenny's brother, Gary, who actually performed a significant amount of the work and supervised the work done by their subcontractors on the remaining exterior work. Gary is not only a superb craftsman, but is a wonderful person as well, providing emotional support and encouragement for my beleaguered wife throughout the remainder of the project. We honestly don't know what we would have done without Kenny and Gary. We wholeheartedly, and without reservation, recommend Austin Quality Remodeling to anyone who has a home remodeling project or wants to build an entire home. I would like the people of the Hill Country know what an exceptional job Kenny Ray owner of Austin Quality Remodeling performed for me.I recently had water damage to my home from a leak in one of my bathrooms. I had 7 rooms and a hallway damaged from the water. I had to move out and move into a hotel during the time of reconstruction.
I had the pleasure of working with Kenny Ray and his staff of Austin Quality Remodeling to do the repairs. I met with Kenny and he gave me his proposal and a time frame for the completion. The work was done on time and was done to perfection.I found Kenny and his staff very friendly, cooperative and understanding. He and his staff went above and beyond to make this traumatic experience as smooth as possible. I received Daily phone calls as to the progress and what was going to be done the next day.I had one of the nightmare experiences with my insurance company and Kenny was very understanding and supportive and gave me guidance and support through the whole ordeal.
